  1. Where are you located?

    The Penshurst RSL Swim Club Pool is located on the grounds of Peakhurst West Primary School - enter via Ogilvy Street South.

  2. What days do you operate and what is the duration of the lessons?

    Both "Learn to Swim" and Stroke Correction (Squad) are an hour each.

    Squad commences at 7am Saturday Morning.

    Learn to Swim Commences at 8am Saturday Morning

  3. How much do the lessons cost?

    Each child becomes a member of Penshurst R.S.L. Youth Club at an annual registration fee of $10.

    1 hour lessons cost $6 per child payable weekly as you attend.

  4. Is the pool heated?

    Yes. Our 25m indoor pool is heated.

  5. From what age can my children attend learn to swim?

    We accept children from 5 years of age in our learn-to-swim programme. As a youth swim club we can only accept members up to the age of 21 years.

  6. Do I have to get in the pool with my child?

    No. We encourage parents NOT go get in the pool with their child. Our AUSTSWIM qualified instructors find the children are more responsive if not looked after by mum or dad.

  7. Will my child in Squad be obliged to enter into Carnivals?

    Whilst we encourage all children in Squad to attend Carnivals - there is certainly no obligation to do so.

  8. I want to register my child with your Club but don't know where they should be placed - Learn-to-swim or squad?

    We ask parents to start their child at 8am Saturday morning with the learn-to-swim group unless they are proficient swimmers. Children will be assessed by the Head Coach and parents will be advised of which group they should attend the following week.

  9. Family and Friends would love to see the photos taken of my child at Learn-to-swim, Squad and Carnivals - Is that possible?

    Yes. From time to time we will be adding photos to out "Photo Gallery" Your child is most welcome to be in photos for our web gallery providing you have completed and signed the release form available from the front desk or available for downloaded here...   10. So early... Is there a canteen open for breakfast?

    Whilst we do not have a canteen in operation, the fund-raising committee sell Tea, Coffee, Juice and Muffins.

    Their deals include:
    Tea/Coffee and a Muffin - $2.00
    Kids Deal Muffin and Juice - $1.00

    With environmental issues in mind, The ladies encourage patrons to bring their own coffee mugs but have plenty available for use should you forget.
